I left Beatty this morning at 6:30 am with plans to visit another Badten family. It was a very windy ride, with the bike leaning about 1/3 of the way between straight up and scraping pegs. On a couple of the really hard gust, I actually did scrape for just a moment. I arrived early so I decided to see if I could visit Dale as I thought they had done his surgery the day before. When I got to the Trauma center they said he was in surgery at that time. I asked if I could see him for just a moment............just kidding! I left the Trauma center and got to the restaurant in time to get rid of my helmet hair and to meet my extended family. That old guy on the left is me, then Skyler, Michelle and Larry. Michelle happened across my Badten name a few years ago and it turns out we were related. I was always told that anyone with the Badten name spelled the way we do is related. Michelle knew more about that than I did. We had a great visit and I found another great reason to be proud of the B

Rocky decided to ride home today. He felt like he was getting a cold and didn't want to ride home sick. Of course tearing out of the parking lot like Mario Spaghetti he probably just wanted to get home and watch the NASCAR race. If you need a small package folding chair, this is it. Cold mornings require putting on the heated gear. Almost ready to head out. Today is 2-20-2022. I posted a lot of pictures, but most of them won't be captioned but the caption at the head of each section will explain most of them. Eight of us at the top of Lida Pass. Views of the High Sierra's never grow old! The roads are fun too, but lots of cinders from all of the snow. If you see yourself in a picture, you can snag it by right clicking it and save. The fire got pretty close to Big Pine It burnt from Hwy 168 north as far as I could see. Burned on both sides of the river. Crews are still in the area eliminating hot spots. I'm not sure what Matt ordered, but he sure is eyeing my Birria When
